BC Grizzly bear/ moose
« on: February 24, 2011, 07:58:23 PM »
Decided to go up with a friend to N BC for a moose hunt in Oct 2011. The outfitter has a grizz tag for a very good price so decided to purchase it. Will pick up a wolf tag too.

Anyone do a grizz or moose  hunt up in BC? Just curious on input or experiences up there on these types of hunts.

Bringing bow and a rifle. Outfitter, who a is great guy, has not guided many bow hunters so bringing rifle just in case.

Most of hunting will be from horseback

Have fun.
I was black bear hunting in central BC. We were walking a  old logging road and  came around a bend in the road and there was a big grizz in the road about 60 yards away. Talk about pucker factor. The grizz took off bit it was a cool site to see.  sure would be a fun hunt.

I have a co-worker that told me today that he hunted BC in 1987 for a guided moose trip. Only cost him $1200, including weeks lodging and tag. LOL, I laughed my butt off when I heard that. Couldn't believe it.
